dc.description.abstractLa Presa Requena se localiza entre los municipios de Tula de Allende y Tepeji del Río de Ocampo en el estado de Hidalgo, México. Su construcción estuvo a cargo de la Comisión de Irrigación entre 1919 y 1922, con el objetivo de irrigación de cultivo del Distrito de Riego número 03 Tula y también para el control de avenidas. La altura de la cortina es de 37.40 m, con una longitud de corona 230 m y un ancho de la misma de 8.0 m.​ La superficie del embalse es de 759.7 km² y es alimentada por el río Tula.es_ES
